Hey Pantry! is a free app that keeps track of the food you have at home, reminds you before it goes off, and suggests recipes that use it up.
Who we are
Hey Pantry! is designed and developed by L3V Solutions S.r.l., a company based in Dalmine, in the province of Bergamo, Italy. You'll find our full company details at the bottom of every page.
Why we made it
Plenty of good food ends up in the bin simply because it was forgotten at the back of the fridge, or because nobody could think of what to cook with what was left. Hey Pantry! tackles both everyday problems: know what you have at home, and turn it into a meal before it goes off — buying only what you really need.
How it works
Add food your way
Type it, say it ("two avocados and 500 grams of chicken") or scan the barcode. If you add something you already have — "tomato" when "tomatoes" is on the list — the app offers to add it to what you have instead of creating a second entry.
Know what's expiring
Your pantry is sorted by what needs using first. Choose when to be reminded — on the expiry day, or 1, 2 or 3 days or 1 week before — and at what time of day (09:00 unless you change it).
Cook with what you have
Get recipe ideas that use what's already in your pantry, or that need at most one extra ingredient (Pantry+1). Missing something? Add it to your shopping list with one tap.
Cook hands-free
Start "Let's Cook" and follow the recipe step by step with your voice — "Hey Pantry, next", "repeat" or "back" — without touching the screen with messy hands.
Where we are today
- Hey Pantry! is in free beta on Android. You can install it from our download page.
- The iPhone version isn't available yet.
- The app and this website are available in 6 languages: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Chinese.
